Lockridge has been productive at the plate of late, driving in runs in each of the last two games for the Brewers. The versatile outfielder is in line for increased time with Jackson Chourio (hand) out of the lineup, offering manager Pat Murphy another stable option to begin the season.

Acquired via trade from the Padres last July, Lockridge had an excellent spring, going 12-for-38 (.316) with four homers and a pair of doubles across 46 trips to the plate. The 29-year-old has hit .226 with one homer, 12 stolen bases, and a .676 OPS across 160 plate appearances in his big league career.
Lockridge (shoulder) sustained a rotator cuff contusion on Feb. 26 when he dove back into a base. Imaging showed no structural damage to the shoulder.

He is projected to return to game action in three to five days. Prior to the injury, Lockridge went 6-for-11 with two home runs, one stolen base, two walks and one strikeout this spring. He is slated to open the season in a reserve outfield role with Milwaukee.
