Brooks Pounders was on the mound Monday to wrap up a 12-2 defeat for the Rockies. He gave up two hits, one earned run, struck out one and walked none through 2/3 of an inning.
Fantasy Impact
Pounders was one of two pitchers to take the least damage on a rough night for the Rockies bullpen which is having a tough time keeping runs off the board lately. He isn't a viable fantasy option at this point.
Brooks Pounders was called in for the eighth inning on Thursday to close out the 9-2 loss to the Phillies. He gave up three hits, two earned runs, while walking and striking out none.
Fantasy Impact
Pounders’ afternoon wasn't any better than the majority of the Rockies’ roster in this one. The inning went as such: Double, groundout, triple, pop out, single, and a lineout on Odubel Herrera to end the game. Through 13 2/3 innings pitched Pounders has an ugly 7.90 ERA and 1.76 WHIP. You can do better in any format.
Brooks Pounders was beat up for three hits, four earned runs, one home run, and a walk in 1/3 of an inning in Friday's loss to the Dodgers.
Fantasy Impact
Ouch. He was tagged with the blown save and the loss in this one. The first two batters he faced reached on a single and walk, then Chris Taylor came to the plate and sent one deep to register three runs. Justin Turner came to bat next and pumped a double off of him and that was the end of his night. He may have opportunities with Adam Ottavino falling to the DL but his relevance in fantasy is limited.
Brooks Pounders was called in for two innings as the Rockies lost to the Brewers 7-3 on Sunday. He struck out four and allowed one hit.
Fantasy Impact
A nice little outing for Pounders as he improved on his rough start. He was called up April 24th from Triple-A Albuquerque to try and shake things up in the bullpen. He owns a 3.60 ERA and 1.40 WHIP with six strikeouts through five innings pitched in the 2018 MLB season.
