Maxwell has been a solid bat for the A's behind the plate, now slashing a cool .291/.371/.345 in 55 at-bats. He hasn't displayed much pop at the big leagues level yet though he has shown to have decent gap power as he demonstrated when he laced a two-run double in the third inning of this one. Maxwell still only carries appeal in AL-only leagues so far, though.

Maxwell has been tearing the cover off the ball since his call-up, as this was his third three-hit appearance in five games since. He got the scoring started for the A's by plating Khris Davis with a two-out single in the second inning, picking up a double later. The A's made a statement by waiving longtime fan-favorite and clubhouse leader Stephen Vogt and calling up Maxwell but the kid has responded by going 10-for-18 since, good for .378/.439/.432 on the year.

He's batting .304/.385/.348 on the season in very limited at-bats but may be carving out a nice role for himself with the A's moving forward.
