Bryan Mata last pitched in 2019 in Double-A with a 5.03 ERA, 1.45 WHIP, 25.2% K%, and 10.3% BB% in 53.2 IP. He's only relevant in dynasty formats with three average to above-average pitches (fastball, curve, and changeup), but has below-average command and control.
Bryan Mata has been diagnosed with a slight tear of the UCL in his throwing arm.
Mata has a slight tear in his UCL and the Red Sox are trying to repair the tear through treatment. He’ll be sidelined for an extended period of time with no timetable for a return.
