Bryce Eldridge has been optioned to Triple-A Sacramento by the San Francisco Giants.
Fantasy Impact
Eldridge slashed .231/.388/.462 with six extra base hits - including a home run - and six RBI in 18 games this spring with the Giants. However, the 21-year-old slugger struck out 19 times in 39 at bats. Eldridge, one of the top prospects in baseball, made his major league debut last season but went just 3-for-28 with four RBI in 10 games with the Giants. With the move, Eldridge will get more time to develop as he will have the opportunity to play first base every day at Triple-A Sacramento. It may not be a popular move, but it's the right move by the Giants. There will be plenty of time in the near future to see Eldridge's power at Oracle Park.
Bryce Eldridge took fly balls in left field in camp on Wednesday, saying it was San Francisco Giants manager Tony Vitello’s idea.
Fantasy Impact
Vitello wants Eldridge to get reps in the outfield, given the Giants’ crowded infield situation. Eldridge played some outfield in the minors, and getting more comfortable there could allow him to see more playing time during the regular season.
Bryce Eldridge said on Tuesday that he's a full go for spring training after undergoing left wrist surgery in October.
Fantasy Impact
Eldridge struggled in 37 plate appearances in the majors in 2025, hitting just .107/.297/.179. However, he excelled in Triple-A Sacramento, posting a .249/.322/.514 slash line with 18 home runs in 66 games. He will look to earn a spot in the San Francisco Giants’ Opening Day lineup during spring training.
Bryce Eldridge is being called up by the San Francisco Giants.
Fantasy Impact
MLB's #13 prospect will join the big leagues as the Giants push for a playoff spot. He is hitting .260 with an .843 OPS in the minors this year and could see a decent role in the lineup alongside Wilmer Flores at first base.
Bryce Eldridge has begun a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League.
Fantasy Impact
Eldridge has been sidelined with a hamstring strain since the end of June. He'll likely return to Triple-A action before the end of July.
