The Pittsburgh Pirates recalled Cam Devanney from Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact
With Ronny Simon (shoulder) placed on the injured list, the Pirates have recalled Devanney, who will make his MLB debut when he gets into a game. Devanney has posted a .266/.353/.493 slash line this season between Triple-A Omaha and Triple-A Indianapolis, and will provide the Pirates with infield depth.
The Pittsburgh Pirates have acquired Cam Devanney from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for Adam Frazier.
Fantasy Impact
Devanney has yet to make his MLB debut, largely due to Bobby Witt Jr. holding down the shortstop position in Kansas City. However, that could change soon after being acquired by the Pirates. The 28-year-old shortstop has had a strong season with Triple-A Omaha, slashing .272/.366/.565 over 69 games. He will report to Triple-A Indianapolis.
The Royals selected the contract of Cam Devanney from Triple-A Omaha.
Fantasy Impact
Devanney takes the roster spot of Mark Canha who was placed on the injured list. He's set to make his MLB debut and is a player to monitor for fantasy managers.
The Kansas City Royals have re-assigned Cam Devanney to minor league camp.
Fantasy Impact
Devanney, who struggled at the plate this spring with a .222/.300/.259 slash line in 30 plate appearances, was re-assigned to minor league camp on Monday as roster cuts continue. The Royals major league camp roster is down to 40 players.
