Miami Marlins pitcher Chris Narveson was designated for assignment on Friday to make room on the roster for Xavier Scruggs.
Fantasy Impact
Narveson was with the Marlins for 10 days and did not throw a single pitch. He will clear waivers and return to Triple-A New Orleans, where he will continue to allow plenty of hits and runs to minor league batters.
Miami Marlins reliever Chris Narveson has been called up to join the Marlins bullpen.
Fantasy Impact
Narveson made the Opening Day roster and was atrocious before being designated for assignment. He spent time in Triple-A, where he split appearances between the rotation and the bullpen. He posted a 4.87 FIP against minor leaguers, so hopefully for the Marlins, he won't be used for anything more than mop-up duty.
Miami Marlins reliever Chris Narveson, demoted to Triple-A after pitching terribly for the Marlins, has continued to pitch terribly since his move to Triple-A New Orleans. He has thrown 18 innings and posted an even 7.00 ERA.
Fantasy Impact
Narveson should never have been on an Opening Day roster, but he was and was repeatedly given the chance to lose games by manager Don Mattingly. He has worked as a starter and a reliever since being sent to New Orleans, but neither seems to be working.
Miami Marlins relief pitcher Chris Narveson was outrighted to Triple-A New Orleans on Tuesday. He is now off the Marlins 40-man roster.
Fantasy Impact
He obviously cleared waivers after somehow making the team's Opening Day roster before being demoted. Bad outing after bad outing showed why Narveson doesn't belong anywhere near a Major League team's active roster.
Miami Marlins reliever Chris Narveson was designated for assignment on Thursday morning.
Fantasy Impact
Narveson inexplicably made the Opening Day roster and did nothing to show that he belonged in the big leagues. He'll clear waivers and likely report to Triple-A New Orleans shortly.
