David Hamilton swipes two bases in Friday's win over Nationals

David Hamilton went 2-for-4 in a win over the Nationals with a walk, a run scored, and two stolen bases.

Fantasy Impact

Hamilton has heated up at the plate, picking up hits in four of his last five games. The 28-year-old continues to fight consistency issues in the Brewers lineup for manager Pat Murphy, batting .253 with seven RBI, 15 runs scored, and seven steals across 26 games.

David Hamilton steals another base in 8-2 win

David Hamilton went 1-for-4 in a win over the Rays with a run scored, one RBI, and one stolen base.

Fantasy Impact

Hamilton continues to offset a dismal start to the season at the plate with his speed when able to reach base, stealing bases in three of his four contests. Through four games, he's hitting .167 with two RBI, four runs scored, and four stolen bases, keeping the infielder as more of a wait-and-see option in hopes of more consistent production at the plate as the season moves forward.

David Hamilton steals two bases in 6-1 win

David Hamilton went 0-for-2 with two walks, one run scored, and two stolen bases in a 6-1 win over the White Sox.

Fantasy Impact

Hamilton has taken advantage of his speed when he has gotten on base, stealing at least one base and scoring at least one run in each of the first two games. The 28-year-old will need to continue to reach base on a consistent basis in order to take advantage of his speed on the basepaths to offer fantasy managers a more impactful option as part of a productive Milwaukee lineup as the season continues.

David Hamilton swipes base in blowout win

David Hamilton went 1-for-2 in Thursday's 14-2 win over the White Sox with two walks, two runs scored, one RBI and one stolen base.

Fantasy Impact

Hamilton will look to capitalize on a more favorable as part of a balanced Milwaukee lineup for manager Pat Murphy after a disappointing 2025 campaign with the Boston Red Sox, posting a .198 batting average with six home runs, 19 RBI, and 22 stolen bases over 91 games. The infielder will look to provide more consistent contact to take advantage of his speed on the basepaths moving forward.

David Hamilton heads to Milwaukee in six-player trade

Infielder David Hamilton has been traded from the Boston Red Sox to the Milwaukee Brewers, along with lefthanders Kyle Harrison and Shane Drohan. The Red Sox get infielders Caleb Durbin, Andruw Monasterio, and Anthony Seigler. Boston also receives a Competitive Balance Round B pick.

Fantasy Impact

Hamilton, who can play both second base and shortstop, has excellent speed and a good glove. However, the bat has not been consistent enough to merit more playing time. In 550 career plate appearances in three seasons with Boston, Hamilton has slashed .222/.283/.359, but does have 57 stolen bases in 204 games. Brice Turang has second base locked down in Milwaukee, so the path to a starting role could be at shortstop. At the very least, he should open the season with the Brewers in a bench role.
