Eligibility
David Paulino is being suspended for 80 games for test positive for performance enhancing substances.
Fantasy Impact
Paulino will not be paid during his suspension. It's unclear what exactly he texted positive for, but it doesn't matter when it comes to his fantasy value. Paulino can safely be dropped in all leagues.
David Paulino allowed seven runs on seven hits over four innings Wednesday night. He also struck out eight and walked none.
Fantasy Impact
Paulino is a tough pitcher to get a read on. On the one hand, he had an excellent 8/0 K/BB ratio tonight, but on the other hand he allowed four homers. His 6.52 ERA in the majors this year is scary enough that fantasy players should stay away for now.
David Paulino received a win on Thursday, allowing three runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings. Paulino also walked two and struck out six.
Fantasy Impact
He now owns a 5.04 ERA for the season. Paulino has yet to be particularly dominant in any one outing this year, but he remains a solid streaming option due to the win and strikeout potential. Houston's rotation is going to get crowded once some guys come back from injury, so don't expect Paulino to remain in the majors all year.
David Paulino picked up the win on Saturday night, throwing six innings of one-run ball to defeat the Red Sox. Paulino also allowed three hits, walked one, and struck out four.
Fantasy Impact
This was an impressive performance for the young right-hander, though Boston isn't exactly tearing the cover off the ball right now. Still, it's a step in the right direction for Paulino. It's unclear where he fits in the Houston rotation with all their injuries but he's certainly on the streaming radar right now.
David Paulino wasn't great on Sunday afternoon, allowing five runs on six hits over just four innings versus the Angels. Paulino also walked two and struck out four.
Fantasy Impact
Paulino looked great when he first joined the Astros' rotation back in May, but his past couple of starts have left a lot to be desired. This was likely his last start for a while with Joe Musgrove set to rejoin the staff tomorrow. Should Paulino get another chance this year he still possesses strong strikeout upside.
