Eligibility
For the second time in two months, the Texas Rangers have claimed left-handed reliever David Rollins off of waivers. Rollins was claimed off waivers by the Rangers on Nov. 22, then the Phillies claimed him from Texas on Dec. 2. He is now back with Texas, but who knows for how long.
Fantasy Impact
Any player who has been claimed off waivers four times over the space of three months is probably not going to make much of a fantasy impact.
The Texas Rangers have claimed left-handed reliever David Rollins off of waivers from the Cubs.
Fantasy Impact
The Cubs had just claimed Rollins off of waivers from the Mariners four days ago, so obviously he is either in very high demand, or more likely, not going to be much of an impact player. Pitching coach Doug Brocail says that Rollins has "a history of throwing strikes." He spent most of last season at Triple-A where he was 5-0 with a 3.77 ERA and an impressive 0.99 WHIP. Unfortunately, at the major league level, he has not enjoyed that type of success. In two years with the Mariners, he made a combined 31 relief appearances, recording a 1-2 record, an ERA of 7.60 and a 1.86 WHIP.
