Dominic Freeberger inks minor league deal with Cardinals
Dominic Freeberger has signed a minor league deal with the St. Louis Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact
A decent third baseman with a solid .315 average in his collegiate career, Freeberger has turned his attention to the mound and pitched parts of two minor league seasons in the Orioles' system. It has not gone according to plan, yet, as he has a 6.42 ERA in 47.2 innings, while not getting above High-A Aberdeen. While he does have 56 strikeouts, he has walked 36 batters. Freeberger is likely ticketed for a low-level club to continue working on his command.
