The Brewers have signed left-hander Drew Rom to a minor-league contract.

Though Rom had been considered fully recovered from the arthroscopic surgery he underwent last May, this setback has led the Cardinals to give him a PRP injection and prescribe a few days of rest before reassessing his throwing program.
