Detroit Tigers outfielder Dustin Peterson went 1-for-4 with two RBI and a steal in a 9-7 win over the White Sox.
Peterson is not off to a good start this season, hitting just .161 with two runs, three RBI, and the steal. He is not on the radar in fantasy leagues.
Dustin Johnson, arguably the Braves' long-term solution in left field, seemed destined to spend most of 2018 in the minors, is turning heads this spring and might force the team to break camp with him on the roster. He went 1-for-2 with a 2-run homer today against the Tigers, continuing to show everybody what a solid power-hitter he can be when in the lineup.
It was pretty much a slam-dunk that Preston Tucker or Lane Adams would start in left until Ronald Acuna Jr. was called up but Peterson's play is sparking conversations. At some point soon, Peterson will enter fantasy relevance for most leagues.
