Eligibility
Eddie Rosario will undergo a laser procedure to correct blurred vision and swelling in his right eye in the coming days. He's expected to miss eight-to-12 weeks following the surgery.
Fantasy Impact
Rosario had an historically awful beginning to the year, starting 3-for-44 and committing three errors. Most beat writers and fantasy managers wrote his struggles off to a slump but there's now a firm explanation. Rosario's upside does not make him a worthy stash in any league given his timetable, and with Ronald Acuna on his way back, the Braves obviously won't need to worry about an outfield replacement.
Eddie Rosario went 0-3 with a walk on Saturday against the Padres.
Fantasy Impact
Rosario has just one hit in 26 at-bats this season which leads to a .038 batting average. It has been a rough start to the 2022 season after a dominant playoff run for Rosario. He should be fine in the long run but this slump has been rough for Rosario and fantasy managers who roster him. He should be on your bench for the time being.
Eddie Rosario went 1-3 with a double off Tanner Houck in Friday's Spring Training action.
Fantasy Impact
Rosario was the postseason hero for the Braves, which led them to resign Rosario to a two-year deal. He hit leadoff today and collected a double. He should be the team's everyday right fielder.
The Atlanta Braves have agreed to bring back OF Eddie Rosario. It is a 2-year contract with a club option for 2024.
Fantasy Impact
Rosario will return to Atlanta after helping them win a World Series last season. The 30-year old outfielder played well for the Braves after being acquired at the trade deadline. In 33 games with the Braves, he hit .271 with 7 HR and a 133 wRC+. He should get solid playing time in 2022 and is an interesting sleeper if he can continue that success.
Eddie Rosario went 2-for-4 with a solo homer, a double, and an additional run scored against the Mets Friday.
Fantasy Impact
Rosario would be a perfect addition to the Braves roster next season as he has made himself at home in the daily lineup. Entering today, since coming off the IL on August 28th, he was slashing .262/.330/.560 with a .370 wOBA.
