Edouard Julien was outrighted to Triple-A Albuquerque on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
Julien was designated for assignment earlier this week. He cleared waivers and was sent to Triple-A on Thursday. Julien has posted a .615 OPS with three homers and 20 RBI over 88 games for the Rockies this season.
Edouard Julien was designated for assignment ahead of Tuesday's game.
Fantasy Impact
The Rockies are recalling prospect Zac Veen from the minors, so the club will move on from Julien to make room on the roster. Julien has played in a part-time role the past several weeks and has gone just 5-for-44 from the plate since the beginning of July.
Edouard Julien went 1-for-2 in loss to the Dodgers with a solo home run.
Fantasy Impact
Julien continues a solid stretch at the plate of late, collecting hits in seven of his last 11 contests. The infielder has struggled with consistency at the plate for much of the season for manager Warren Schaeffer, batting .228 with three home runs, 20 RBI, 33 runs scored, and four stolen bases through 76 games.
Edouard Julien had three hits including a solo home run on Tuesday, but the Rockies dropped a 7-2 decision to the Reds.
Fantasy Impact
Julien took Reds' starter Chase Burns deep in the third inning for his second home run of the season. He had Burns' number all evening as he also drew a walk to lead off the game then had an RBI single in the fifth. Julien added his third hit of the game with a single in the seventh off of Graham Ashcraft. Julien is on a seven-game hitting streak during which he is hitting .448 (13-for-29) with eight runs scored, one home run, and seven RBI. Overall, the second baseman is hitting .308 on the year with two home runs and 12 RBI while leading off for a much better Rockies' lineup. He's worth a speculative add, especially in deeper leagues, with the way he's swinging the bat.
Edouard Julien went 3-for-5 with a run scored and three runs batted in to help the Rockies to a 9-6 win over the Dodgers on Sunday.
Fantasy Impact
Julien snapped an 0-for-17 slide over his prior six appearances before his three-hit performance on Sunday. It was his first three-hit game of the year and his fourth multi-hit game of the season. Julien is hitting .259 with a home run and eight RBI in his first season in Colorado. He showed flashes of his ability at times in Minnesota, hitting 16 home runs as a rookie in 2023, so he is a name to watch in fantasy as the season progresses.
