Detroit Tigers outfielder Eric Haase went 1-for-3 with a solo homer and a walk in a 2-0 win over the Rays on Sunday.
Haase went deep in the fourth inning to give the Tigers their first run of the game. The 28-year-old is batting .231 with 22 homers, 45 runs, 56 RBI, and two steals over 312 at-bats.

Haase hit his first homer since being activated from the 10-day injured list on August 27. A non-roster invitee to spring training this past preseason, Haase is putting together a quality season for the Tigers. He's hitting .236 with 20 homers, 41 runs, 53 RBI, and two steals over 280 at-bats.

This is just what the Tigers and Haase need to end their season on a positive note. Haase has had somewhat of a breakout season with his hometown team. The Westland, MI native is hitting .238 with 19 home runs, 49 runs batted in, and 40 runs scored in 71 games this season.

The move is retroactive to August 16. He’s missed the last three games due to an abdominal strain and ultimately ended up on the injured list. Haase has produced as a top-15 catcher, mashing 19 home runs over 70 games this season. The 28-year-old will be out of action for at least the next 10 days. Grayson Greiner will handle catching duties while Haase is sidelined.
