Estevan Florial went 1-for-3 with a walk and hit a home run on Tuesday as the Yankees defeated the Phillies by a 6-4 score.
Florial hit his first major league homer Tuesday after getting called up earlier in the day. He'll fill a short-term need for the Yankees in the outfield, where the team now has five players on the injured list
On Tuesday, the Yankees announced they have recalled outfielder Estevan Florial from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Florial's promotion came as a corresponding move to Trey Amburgey's placement on the 10-day injured list. He has seen limited work in the majors, logging two hits through six at-bats over the last two seasons. The 23-year-old has dealt with a much larger sample size in Triple-A this year, slashing .211/.315/.404 with eight homers, 25 RBI, 26 walks, 59 strikeouts, and nine stolen bases through 43 contests.
The New York Yankees have recalled Estevan Florial from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
This comes after Corey Kluber (shoulder) and Luke Voit (oblique) were both placed on the injured list.

The 22-year-old went 1-for-3 with two strikeouts in an extremely brief cup of coffee. Florial is still a prospect and he used to be considered a very high-end one, but his shine has faded in recent seasons.
Estevan Florial was recalled from the Yankees alternate site prior to Sunday's 5-1 loss to the Orioles.
Florial made his MLB-debut on August 28th, going 1-for-3 with a single, and was sent back down. It's unknown how long he'll be up for this time around.
