Ethan Roberts will undergo Tommy John surgery and will miss the rest of the season.

Fantasy Impact

Roberts has been on the injured list since April with right shoulder inflammation and presumably injured his elbow while he was working on a rehab assignment. He'll now undergo Tommy John surgery and miss the rest of the season, and possibly a portion of next season depending on his recovery. He had nine appearances this year, pitching an 8.22 ERA and 2.09 WHIP with nine strikeouts over 7 2/3 innings.
