Eligibility
Evan Marshall has agreed to a one-year, $2 million deal with the White Sox, avoiding arbitration.
Fantasy Impact
Marshall put together a stellar 2020 out of the Sox pen, when he registered a 2.38 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, and 30:7 K/BB ratio over 22 2/3 innings. He's a capable setup man and is a name to keep eye on in fantasy leagues that count holds.
Evan Marshall took the loss in Thursday's Wild Card finale as he allowed two runs, one earned, on two hits with two strikeouts and two walks over two innings in the White Sox 6-4 defeat.
Fantasy Impact
Marshall was one of nine White Sox pitchers to make an appearance in this one as they pulled out all the stops to try and advance to the ALDS. He entered in the fifth inning with the score even at four apiece and recorded two quick outs before issuing a walk to Sean Murphy. Tommy La Stella then reached on a fielding error and Marcus Semien drew a walk before Chad Pinder laced a two-run single. It was a tough luck loss for Marshall as the White Sox held a commanding lead before a four-run fourth inning by the A's.
