Garrett Hampson hitless on Sunday

Garret Hampson went 0-for-3 with a strikeout in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Phillies.

Fantasy Impact

Hampson is now hitting just .183 with a .485 OPS this season. He has improved somewhat as of late but simply isn't hitting enough to be worth rostering in fantasy. Worsening his situation is the impending return of Daniel Murphy.

Garrett Hampson doubles in Friday's win

Garrett Hampson went 1-for-5 with a double and an RBI as the Rockies beat the Phillies 4-3 in extra innings on Friday.

Fantasy Impact

Hampson once again got the start at second base. David Dahl and Ryan McMahon returned from IL this week, which will make playing time more difficult to come by. If Hampson isn't hitting well by the time Daniel Murphy (finger) returns then he might find himself out of an everyday job. Hampson is now hitting .188 with a .506 OPS, though he has been better as of late.

Garrett Hampson homers and steals a base in win

Garrett Hampson went 2-for-4 with a homer, a walk, three runs scored, and a stolen base in Tuesday's win over the Padres.

Fantasy Impact

It took a ridiculous amount of inuries to pile up but Hampson is finally seeing everyday at bats in Colorado, and he's even hitting second a decent amount. The 24-year-old now has a seven game hitting streak. Fantasy players might want to consider picking him up if he has a couple more big games.

Garrett Hampson singles twice on Thursday

Garrett Hampson went 2-for-3 with two singles in the Rockies' 1-0 loss to the Giants on Thursday.

Fantasy Impact

Despite the two hits Hampson has been dreadful at the plate this year, batting .152 without any homers or steals. It's time for fantasy owners in 12-team leagues to move on from him. Anyone who drops him can still monitor his status on the waiver wire, however.

Garrett Hampson goes hitless once again

Garrett Hampson went 0-for-2 with an RBI on Monday as the Rockies lost to the Braves 8-6.

Fantasy Impact

Hampson has gotten more playing time with injuries to Daniel Murphy and Ryan McMahon, but he isn't taking advantage of it at all. The young infielder is hitting a measly .077 with a .151 OPS. It's a bizarre performance for someone who played so well this spring, but it's time for fantasy owners in 12-team leagues to move on.
