Garrett Hampson goes hitless on Tuesday

Garrett Hampson went hitless in three at-bats on Tuesday.

Fantasy Impact

Hampson is hitting .190 with a .489 OPS this season. He has been shuttling back and forth between Triple-A and the majors this season but has yet to get his year on track.

Garrett Hampson recalled from Triple-A

The Rockies have recalled Garrett Hampson from Triple-A on Sunday.

Fantasy Impact

Hampson was batting just .194 in the bigs before getting sent down in mid-May. He went on to hit .320 and steal three bases in his time in the minors, however, and now he's back to serve as a utility player for Colorado.

Garrett Hampson to be sent down to Triple-A

The Rockies are demoting Garrett Hampson to Triple-A Albuqurque prior to Tuesday's game versus the Red Sox.

Fantasy Impact

Hampson was a very popular sleeper in fantasy drafts this spring and saw increased playing time when Ryan McMahon got hurt early on, but he just never put it together. The 24-year-old hit .194 with just one homer and one steal in mostly limited action. We'll probably see him again later this summer. Pat Valaika will be called up as the corresponding move.

Garrett Hampson strikes out twice in Rockies' loss

Garrett Hampson went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts as the Rockies fell to the Giants 14-4.

Fantasy Impact

Hampson has had an atrocious start to the season, batting .186 with an OPS under .500. This comes after a spring training performance that had everyone very excited about his fantasy potential, but he doesn't need to be rostered in 12-team leagues right now.

Garrett Hampson enters as a defensive replacement on Thursday

Garrett Hampson entered Thursday's win over the Brewers as a defensive replacement.

Fantasy Impact

He went 0-for-2 and is how hitting .177 with a .461 OPS. Hampson doesn't look at all like the guy who had a big spring just six weeks ago. He isn't worth stashing in most fantasy formats with Daniel Murphy back healthy and Ryan McMahon continuing to start at second base.
