Garrett Hawkins has been reassigned to Triple-A El Paso by the San Diego Padres.
Fantasy Impact
Hawkins appeared in six games for the Padres this spring and allowed three runs on seven hits with three walks and six strikeouts in 5.1 innings. The right-handed reliever posted ridiculous numbers between High-A Fort Wayne and Double-A San Antonio last season as he combined to go 9-1 with 10 saves and a 1.50 ERA. In 60 innings, he allowed just 28 hits and struck out 80 batters. If he pitches like that at Triple-A El Paso, Hawkins could make his major league debut at some point in 2026.
