Perdomo has been mired in a slump to begin the year and saw his average dip to a season-worst .148 before his three-hit performance on Tuesday. HIs three singles brought his season average up to .190 and snapped a 4-for-42 skid over his previous 14 games. However, he did draw 11 walks while striking out only three times during the stretch. Meanwhile, Perdomo's two steals give him six on the season which ties him for third in the National League. This, perhaps, was the game that Perdomo needed to jump-start his season.

Perdomo struggles at the plate continued, but he reached base on a fielder's choice in the eighth, stole his fourth base of the season, and then scored the tying run on an RBI single from Jose Fernandez. Perdomo is just 3-for-32 (.094) during the month of April, but does have three stolen bases and has an 8:3 BB:K ratio. The Arizona shortstop is hitting just .157 on the year, but has drawn 10 walks as compared to just five strikeouts. He's putting the bat on the ball and has had decent at bats more often than not, so you have to believe that the hits will start coming soon.

Perdomo stole his third base of the season after reaching on a single to lead off the top of the eighth inning. The shortstop now leads the Diamondbacks with his three stolen bases. However, Perdomo is just 3-for-25 (.120) in nine games this month and is off to a .182 (9-for-44) start to the 2026 campaign.

Perdomo is in the midst of a 1-for-17 slump over the last six games, but he used his plate discipline to reach base twice on Thursday, including a leadoff walk to start a four-run rally in the top of the seventh. Perdomo is just 7-for-41 (.171) with a home run, two stolen bases, and four RBI in 13 games this season. He does, however, have an impressive 8:2 BB:K ratio so, you have to believe that the hits will start coming sooner than later.

Fantasy Impact

Perdomo enjoyed a breakout season in 2025 when he hit 20 home runs and stole 27 bases as the everyday shortstop in Arizona. Through three games this season, Perdomo is 4-for-12 with a home run and a stolen base and looks poised to carry the success over from last season into 2026. He should remain one of the better fantasy shortstops in all of baseball.
