Carrillo, the Nationals' No. 15 prospect according to MLB Pipeline, split the 2022 season across three minor-league levels but pitched just 23 1/3 innings on the year. He pitched well until reaching the Double-A level where he posted an 11.32 ERA across 10 appearances. The 24-year-old reliever is likely to open the season back at Double-A in 2023.
