RP - PHI
The White Sox placed RP Ian Hamilton on the 10-day IL with shoulder soreness.
Hamilton missed a lot of time in 2019 with shoulder problems so this is a concern. He has a 4.50 ERA in four appearances this year.
Ian Hamilton allowed the eventual game-winning run in the 7th inning on Monday against the Indians.
Hamilton gave up a long ball to Brandon Guyer and then another hit after that. He is a relief pitcher who should not be owned this year.
Ian Hamilton came on to protect a 1-0 lead in the ninth, but gave up a walk-off grand slam to Jason Kipnis.
He came in with two runners on, then proceeded to hit a batter and give up the home run. It was a brutal outing after he had given up one run over 5 2/3 innings this season. Hopefully, he can bounce back next time out.
Ian Hamilton allowed one run in 2/3 of an inning against the Angels on Sunday and was tagged with the loss.
He three scoreless appearances prior to this, but couldn't keep the Angels at bay. The one run allowed turned out to make a huge difference, as the White Sox fell by a 1-0 score. Hamilton doesn't carry any fantasy value, but he'll look for a strong finish to the season to try and earn a spot next year.
Ian Hamilton fired a scoreless inning during Monday's 4-2 victory over Detroit.
He's fired two perfect innings over the last few days with a pair of strikeouts. It's a nice start for the reliever and we'll see if he can earn a spot in the bullpen moving forward.
