Ian Kinsler has announced he is retiring from baseball.
Kinsler is still owed $4.25 million in 2020 but he is going to work out a settlement with the Padres and remain with the team in a front office role. The 37-year-old hit just .217 with a .646 OPS last year. He finishes his career with 1,999 hits.

Kinsler came in to pitch in the ninth inning, tossing a scoreless frame. He then homered in the bottom half of the inning. It was cool to see, but Kinsler still doesn't have any fantasy value right now.

Kinsler is hitting just .188 with a .598 OPS this year but continues to lead off for the Padres, who are keeping Luis Urias down in Double-A. Kinsler has little fantasy value as it stands and at this point is just blocking Urias.
