Pirates infielder Jack Brannigan has joined the Pirates for Thursday's contest against the Mariners.

Brannigan joins the Pirates on Thursday morning to take the roster spot of infielder Spencer Horwitz, who will be placed on the 10-day injured list with a hamstring injury. The 25-year-old has yet to make his MLB debut and has hit .231 with 11 homers and an .864 OPS in 42 games between High-A and Double-A this season.
