Jack Kochanowicz allowed just a run on two hits in seven innings on Friday to lift the Angels to a 10-2 victory over the Reds in Cincinnati.

Kochanowicz improved to 2-0 on the season as he tied for the second-longest outing of his career. His only real hiccup came in the bottom of the fifth when he walked the bases loaded before allowing an RBI groundout to TJ Friedl. He finished the night with four walks and only two strikeouts, throwing 53 of his 95 pitches for strikes. Kochanowicz, who has a 3.24 ERA and a 1.26 WHIP through three starts, is lined up to pitch against the Yankees next week in New York.

Suzuki added that Kochanowicz's role is uncertain ahead of Opening Day. The 25-year-old was touched up for a 6.81 ERA in 23 starts with the Halos last season, but impressed with a 1.98 ERA in 13 2/3 inninfs of work this spring.
