Jake Elmore went 3-for-5 with a double, two RBI, and a run scored in Thursday's loss to the Mariners.
Fantasy Impact
Elmore was recalled from the minors earlier this week, as the Pirates seem to be experimenting towards the end of the season. He's batting .154 in 26 at-bats this season, and is not a highly-touted prospect.
Elmore was brought up to the big league club from Triple-A on Tuesday and was inserted into the starting lineup at second base against Dodgers lefty Julio Urias. Elmore went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout in the 6-5 loss.
Fantasy Impact
Elmore will serve as a utility player for the Brewers. He could get some starts at second base in place of Scooter Gennett against lefties as he did on Tuesday and see some time at third base and in the outfield. He was batting .320 with two homers and 13 steals in 57 games at Triple-A. Elmore's fantasy value is limited to deep NL-only leagues.
Jake Elmore went 1-for-2 with a RBI against the Nationals on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact
This was Elmore's seventh straight start for the Rays. Along with his positional flexibility, the Rays are continuing to hit him in multiple spots as well, slotting him as high as second and as low as eighth. For the season, Elmore has been hitting a respectable .288/.326/.375 with one homer, 6 runs, 12 RBI, and one stolen base in 80 at-bats. AL-Only owners could do worse than Elmore, at least until Tim Beckham returns and we see how the playing time shakes out.
