Jacob Nix allowed six runs on six hits in 2 1/3 innings taking the loss against the Dodgers on Saturday. He struck out two and his season ERA sits at 6.81.
Fantasy Impact
Nix got destroyed by the red hot Dodgers lineup. Getting rocked is nothing new to Nix in four of his eight starts he has allowed five or more runs. Nix is only 22 years old, it is good to at least see him have some success at the big league level. Nix could end up starting the 2019 season in the starting rotation for the Padres.
Jacob Nix allowed three runs in six innings against the Rangers on Sunday. He gave up seven hits and a walk while striking out three. He lowered his season ERA to 5.75.
Fantasy Impact
Nix has been very inconsistent so far in his major league career. In four of his outings he has allowed three or fewer runs and in his other three outings he has allowed five or more runs. He cannot be trusted in 2018 and should be left on the waiver wire in all redraft leagues.
Jacob Nix allowed six runs in four innings against the Reds on Sunday. He gave up seven hits and two walks while striking out four. He raised his season ERA to 6.00.
Fantasy Impact
Nix is not rosterable in mixed league. He was lucky to walk away with a no-decision today after allowing six runs. Nix has now allowed 11 earned runs in his two previous starts. This coming after allowing only one run in an 8 1/3 inning start against the Mariners.
Jacob Nix allowed five runs in six innings against the Rockies on Sunday. He gave up five hits and two walks while striking out four. He raised his ERA to 4.85 and took his fourth loss of the season.
Fantasy Impact
Nix only allowed three of the runs through six innings. The Padres got greedy and let him allow the first two batters to get on to start the seventh before getting pulled. Both of the baserunners ended up scoring. Nix will matchup against the Reds on the road in his next start.
Jacob Nix allowed one run in 8 1/3 innings against the Mariners on Tuesday. He gave up eight hits and recorded his second victory of the season. He lowered his season ERA to 4.05.
Fantasy Impact
Nix wanted the complete game shutout. He allowed a solo home run in the ninth to Nelson Cruz that ended his night. He failed to record a single strikeout which is alarming but he also failed to walk a single batter. Nix is an interesting speculative add in deeper leagues. His next start will take place on Sunday against the Rockies.
