The Tigers have selected right-hander Jacob Waguespack from Triple-A Toledo.

However, he'll open the season with Triple-A Nashville as he has combined for just 56.1 innings over the last two seasons. Waguespack has 104.2 innings of major league experience with the Blue Jays and Rays and has a 5.11 ERA. He hasn't appeared in the majors since 2024 when he pitched 10 innings for Tampa Bay. He'll be a veteran presence at Triple-A and could see some innings in Milwaukee at some point in 2026.

Last season, he pitched in the Rays' and Phillies' organizations and combined for a 2.45 ERA in 33 innings at Triple-A. Waguespack has been used as a starter and as a reliever and will provide depth for the Brewers.
