Jason Hammel destroyed by Red Sox

Jason Hammel surrendered six runs on 13 hits over six frames in Seattle on Saturday. He struck out four batters as the Royals lost, 6-4.

Fantasy Impact

Hammel is now 2-10 on the year with a 5.56 ERA. Needless to say, he shouldn't be used in any fantasy formats.

Jason Hammel takes eighth loss of 2018

Jason Hammel struggled over 5 2/3 innings on Tuesday against the Rangers. He allowed nine hits, four runs and four walks in his eighth loss of the year.

Fantasy Impact

Hammel is now 2-8 on the season. He sports an ugly 4.98 ERA and 1.45 WHIP. He is not a fantasy option by any stretch of the imagination.

Jason Hammel handed another loss on Wednesday

Jason Hammel allowed three runs (two earned) on seven hits against the Reds on Wednesday. He struck out three batters and didn't issue a walk over 7 1/3 innings, but was still handed his seventh loss of the season.

Fantasy Impact

Wednesday's quality start, albeit against the Reds, dampened the dumpster fire that was Hammel's season. Since May 22, he's 2-2 with a 2.16 ERA, and 28 strikeouts in 31 2/3 innings. He still can't be trusted, but is slated to take on Texas for his next start; he struck out 10 over 5 1/3 innings when he faced them on May 27, if owners in daily leagues are feeling daring.
