Jose Osuna has signed a one-year deal with the Tokyo Yakult Swallows, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.
The former Pirate was designated for assignment last week after hitting just .205/.244/.397 with four home runs across 82 plate appearances for Pittsburgh in 2020. He's still just 27-years old and if he hits well in Japan he could find himself back in the majors in a season or two.

Osuna will see playing time at 1B/RF, but is unlikely to see everyday at-bats. The 27-year-old is slashing .153/.194/.271 over 62 plate appearances in 2020.
