Sborz underwent shoulder surgery in November of 2024 and missed the entire 2025 season as a result. After working with physiotherapists this winter, the reliever is aiming for "slow gains" this spring. The 32-year-old right-hander owns a 4.96 ERA across 154 career MLB appearances.

A Rangers' World Series hero from 2023, Sborz has dealt with injuries over the last two seasons and, in fact, missed all of 2025 due to shoulder surgery. He has been limited to just 16.1 innings over the last two seasons after helping Texas to its first World Series title. Sborz pitched 10 games in the 2023 postseason and had a 0.75 ERA with one save in 12 innings. The righthander has pitched to a 4.96 ERA in parts of six seasons with the Dodgers and Rangers. He'll have every opportunity to crack the Rangers' opening day roster during the spring.
