The Rays activated J.P. Feyereisen off the injured list on Monday with shoulder discomfort.
Feyereisen hasn't pitched since July 20 though he provided quality ratios with a 2.81 ERA and 1.22 WHIP. However, it came with a 21.8% K% and 14.9% BB%. With the Rays, Feyereisen recorded three saves in four chances, so he may factor into the saves carousel.
The Rays placed LHP J.P. Feyereisen (shoulder) on the 10-day IL.
The southpaw has pitched well out of the bullpen since coming over from Milwaukee, but he'll be out for the next couple of weeks. Chris Mazza was recalled as a corresponding move.
J.P. Feyereisen walked one and did not allow a hit over one inning of relief to earn the win in Thursday's 1-0 victory over Boston.
This was Feyereisen's fourth win to go along with three saves in 14 appearances for the Rays since being acquired from the Brewers. The 28-year-old reliever is worth owning in deeper fantasy leagues.
J.P. Feyereisen earned the win in relief Sunday against the Rangers after tossing 1 1/3 scoreless innings, walking two and striking out two.
Feyereisen is now 2-2 on the season and is 3-for-6 in save opportunities with a 2.60 ERA combined with the Rays and Brewers. The 28-year-old right-hander is worth owning in leagues that count saves and holds.
J.P. Feyereisen tossed a scoreless ninth inning Monday giving up one hit and striking out one batter against the Yankees for his third save.
Feyereisen has picked up the teams last three saves and looks to be the favorite to close for the Rays. The 28-year-old reliever should be picked up if fantasy owners need saves.
