Fantasy Impact

JR Ritchie was optioned back to Triple-A Gwinnett on Wednesday.
Fantasy Impact
Ritchie allowed five runs (four earned) over five innings in a start against the Padres on Tuesday, striking out seven while walking four. The rookie right-hander will now head back to Triple-A in order for the Braves to activate veteran reliever Tyler Kinley (elbow) from the IL. Ritchie should return to the bigs at some point down the road this season.
JR Ritchie gave up five runs (four earned) on five hits and four walks while striking out seven over five innings in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Padres.
Fantasy Impact
Ritchie actually logged four scoreless innings around a five-run second frame in this outing. The rookie issued a pair of walks to get the Padres' rally started, but he rebounded nicely through the next three innings. This contest was not decided until the 10th inning, so Ritchie took a no-decision. He will move forward with a 4.87 ERA and 1.43 WHIP for the season.
JR Ritchie allowed five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out four across five innings in Wednesday's 7-5 loss to the Giants.
Fantasy Impact
Ritchie was recalled from the minors this past week. He turned in a brilliant effort out of the Braves' bullpen in his first appearance back, going five scoreless innings against the Mets after Spencer Strider (elbow) exited. With Strider now on the shelf for an extended period, Ritchie re-entered the rotation Wednesday night. Things did not get off to a good start for the rookie, as he allowed a run in the first before surrendering four more on three homers in the second. Ritchie did show some moxy, however, settling down to roll off three consecutive shutout frames before leaving the game. Ritchie has shown promise in the bigs this season, but it's been mixed with inconsistency. He's more of a stash for fantasy purposes at the moment.
