Kade Strowd

The Arizona Diamondbacks are acquiring Kade Strowd, Wellington Aracena and Jose Mejia from the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for Blaze Alexander.

Strowd made his MLB debut with the Orioles in 2025, recording a 1.71 ERA and 1.10 WHIP over 26.1 innings out of the bullpen. He is expected to compete for a spot in Arizona’s bullpen during spring training.

Strowd has bounced between the minors and majors throughout the season and will now get another shot with the big-league club. He’s made three appearances for the Orioles, posting a 4.15 ERA and 1.15 WHIP. The move comes as Felix Bautista (shoulder) heads to the 15-day IL.
