Kyle Lohse signed a minor league deal with the Royals.
Fantasy Impact
Lohse has been irrelevant for some time, and he'll have a long road ahead of him to return to the majors. The 39-year-old shouldn't be on fantasy radars at this point.
Kyle Lohse has been offered a contract by the Orioles, according to Jon Heyman. The Tigers and Reds are also said to be considering the veteran.
Fantasy Impact
Sadly, Lohse would be good rotation depth for a team like the Orioles considering their lackluster group of starters. Lohse currently holds no value, as it's not clear if he'll even pitch this season. Even if he does return, it's likely to be on a minor league agreement initially.
Kyle Lohse got the last nine outs for the Brewers on Friday night. He allowed a solo home run while walking two and striking out four batters. It was his first save of the season.
Fantasy Impact
It was a breath of fresh air for fantasy owners who stuck with Lohse (or just stopped paying attention to their teams and left him in). Don't expect many of these types of saves from him going down the stretch, he has little to no value in all fantasy leagues.
Kyle Lohse held the Cubs from scoring over two innings on Tuesday night. He allowed one hit and one walk while striking out two batters.
Fantasy Impact
Lohse has lost all of his fantasy value after his demotion to the bullpen, but he's pitched well so far in the role. He's compiled four innings while allowing two hits, one walk and three strikeouts and zero home runs in two appearances. The Brewers hope he can keep the ball in the park out of the bullpen, as he's allowed 25 home runs as a starter this season.
The Milwaukee Brewers have demoted Kyle Lohse to the bullpen in favor of Tyler Cravy, who will start for the team on Friday.
Fantasy Impact
Lohse in the final year of his contract with the Brewers and has posted a 5-13 record with a 6.31 ERA. The move was no surprise.
