Fantasy Impact
McCann spent all of 2024 on Oakland’s active roster as a backup catcher but was designated for assignment in January before clearing waivers. Fantasy Impact
McCann will lose his roster spot to Jhonny Pereda, who is expected to serve as the backup to Shea Langeliers. The 27-year-old posted a .236 average, with five home runs, and 15 RBI last season.

Fantasy Impact
Oakland needed to make room on its 40-man roster for Jhonny Pereda. McCann will look to draw some interest from another team on waivers.
