L.J. Hoes draws a walk in Thursday win

Though he did not get a hit during Thursday evening's 5-4 series sweeping victory over the Boston Red Sox, L.J. Hoes did get on base by way of a drawn walk. However, he did go 0-for-3 with a pair of line outs and a ground out. His average took a dip down to a still impressive .267 on the season.

Fantasy Impact

Hoes is yet another outfield piece to this supposed platoon puzzle. It is unclear how much more regular playing time he will see, or whether or not he may possibly be put out for a potential trade posturing. Whatever the case may be, Hoes is certainly a player for fantasy holders to keep a close eye on.

L.J. Hoes singles in Tuesday win

Shifting between two outfield spots during Tuesday evening's 8-3 comeback victory over the Boston Red Sox, L.J. Hoes went 1-for-4 with a single. He also tallied a line out and a pair of strikeouts collectively throughout the game. His average holds at a solid .333 on the season.

Fantasy Impact

The continued outfield platooning while Springer is injured has allowed for Hoes to get his feet wet. He has made some key hits when they have mattered most. However, some speculate this could be a posturing for the trade deadline. Keep an eye on Hoes, but don't actively invest in him until known for sure what will happen to him.

L.J. Hoes drives home a run in Friday win

Going 1-for-2 during Friday evening's 3-2 victory over the Texas Rangers, L.J. Hoes made another start in left field and got an RBI single to score Evan Gattis. While also tallying a ground out in the game, Hoes bumped his average up to .429 to start the second half.

Fantasy Impact

Hoes has been a tremendous call up for the ball club, adding to the already massive outfield depth that the team has. While it is unclear how long he will stay on the major league roster, the impact of his solid hitting and defense are already being felt throughout. Fantasy holders will certainly want to keep an eye on Hoes!

L.J. Hoes grabs two hits in Sunday loss

Getting his first regular start in a while, L.J. Hoes went 2-for-4 during Sunday afternoon’s 4-3 series sweeping loss to the Tampa Bay Rays. Both of his hits were for singles, as he also tallied a ground out and a strikeout. His average stands at .400 on the season.

Fantasy Impact

Hoes getting the start in right field for the injured George Springer was a good call made by skipper A.J. Hinch. He played solid defense, as well as nabbing those two hits. Though he may not get another regular start for a while, fantasy holders will want to keep track of this talented outfielder.

L.J. Hoes hit by pitch

L.J. Hoes had his right hand and wrist hit by a pitch from Marlins reliever, Aaron Crow on Saturday afternoon. Hoes is scheduled to have X-Rays done to determine the extent of the injury.

Fantasy Impact

Hoes was not slated to be on the big league roster opening day due to the logjam in the outfield. With this injury, the setback for him may run even longer than anticipated.
