Wepf, 26, has posted intriguing numbers in the minors but has not made it past Double-A to date. He pitched to a 2.79 ERA with 36 strikeouts in 29 innings with Double-A Tulsa last season. Wepf has struck out 206 batters in 143.2 career minor league innings while pitching to a 3.38 ERA.
