Rays starter Luis Patino allowed three runs, seven hits, and three walks over four innings of work against the Blue Jays on Saturday afternoon. He struck out three batters and did not factor into the final decision as Tampa Bay ultimately fell to Kansas City by a score of 6-3.
Fantasy Impact
Saturday was Patino's second consecutive no-decision. He is now 0-1 with six earned runs, four walks, and three strikeouts through eight innings of work (three starts). The right-hander missed more than three months with a left oblique strain and is just now inching closer to his normal workload.
Luis Patino allowed four hits, two runs, and one walk in 3 1/3 innings to earn a no-decision against the Orioles.
Fantasy Impact
Patino was recently reinstated from the 60-day IL and has not played since April until tonight. He was solid in his short stint, but will look to expand his pitch count after the all-star break.
Luis Patiño has been reinstated from the 60-day IL and is expected to start on Friday against the Orioles.
Fantasy Impact
Patiño will make his long-awaited return to the bump on Friday after being placed on the injured list on April 12th. The right-hander has made just one appearance in 2022, allowing one run in 2/3 of an inning against the A's on April 11th. The 22-year-old will likely build back up to full strength, so he may be on a pitch count on Friday.
Luis Patino said that his bullpen session has been pushed back to Monday.
Fantasy Impact
Patino has been dealing with a blister on his middle finger and it's obviously hindered him enough to push back his bullpen session to Monday. He has been on the injured list since April 12 with a left oblique strain and recently started a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham. Patino only has one appearance this season, allowing an earned run in 2/3 of an inning.
Luis Patino (oblique) has been placed on the 10-day IL per Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.
Fantasy Impact
Patino strained his left oblique during his first start of 2022, an appearance that was cut short by the injury. The 22-year-old threw only 13 pitches Monday before exiting. No timetable has been established.
