Fantasy Impact
Baker, who will be 29 at the start of the 2026 season, was once a promising prospect in the Cardinals' organization. Between 2022 and 2024, the first baseman belted 86 home runs at Triple-A Memphis. The success, however, has not carried over at the big league level, as Baker has slashed just .206/.317/.338 in 189 plate appearances over parts of three seasons with St. Louis. He heads to the Diamondbacks' organization to fill a depth role at first base.
