Matt Adams injured his elbow during Tuesday's game against Miami and is now set to have a stint on the IL.
Adams had been struggling at the plate in 2021, hitting a paltry .161 with zero home runs and just one RBI. First basemen Connor Joe has been called up in Adams' place and will likely take on the role as a bench bat for the Rockies.
