Kirkman is the type of player the Brewers are looking for. He's a low-risk reliever controllable through arbitration until after 2019 and can be traded if he excels. While it's a good depth move for Milwaukee, he's not a player to pick up on your fantasy team.

Left-hander Michael Kirkman is battling an impingement in the back of his throwing shoulder which will cause him to miss about a week of camp.

Fantasy Impact

With only two other southpaws in camp, Kirkman is in a good position to earn a spot in the Rangers bullpen. But an injury at this point may cause GM Jon Daniels to look elsewhere to fill the void.
