The 25-year-old received his first taste of big league action this summer but appeared overmatched in 13 games. Harrison went 4-for-30 with a homer, a double, and 18 strikeouts.
Monte Harrison went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts in the Marlins' 8-3 loss to the Mets on Tuesday.
Harrison had a bright spot over the weekend by hitting his first big league homer. Overall, however, the 24-year-old has continued to struggle mightily since his call-up. Harrison is now 4-for-28 with 16 strikeouts and doesn't need to be rostered anywhere these days.

It was a big one too, a game-tying solo shot to the opposite field off of Braves setup man Will Smith. The 25-year-old rookie has a ton of plus tools but is still working on putting it all together. He's 3-for-20 to begin his major league career.

Harrison is 1-for-10 with five strikeouts to begin his big league career. Strikeouts have always been the concern with the youngster so it'll be interesting to see how patient Miami is with one of their better prospects.
