The Braves recalled SS Orlando Arcia from Triple-A Gwinnett.
Arcia has hit .303 with 13 homers and five stolen bases at Triple-A since being acquired earlier this season. He doesn't have any fantasy value at this time.
Orlando Arcia has been traded to the Atlanta Braves.
There is no word yet on the terms involved. The Braves likely view Arcia as a utility infielder, who could see action at shortstop and third base. This trade likely opens up more playing time for Travis Shaw at third base in Milwaukee.
Orlando Arcia agreed to a one-year, $2 million contract with the Brewers on Wednesday.
Arcia avoids arbitration and signs a one-year deal with the Brewers on Wednesday. He slashed .260/.317/.416 with five home runs, 20 RBI, 22 runs scored and two stolen bases over 189 plate appearances in 2019-20. Arcia is known more for his glove than his bat and is an option in deep-league formats only.
Orlando Arcia went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and three strikeouts in the Brewers 4-2 loss to the Dodgers in Game 1 of their Wild Card series.
Arcia hit a two-run frozen rope home run to left-center off an 0-2 pitch from Walker Buehler to pull the Brewers to within one run at 3-2 in the fourth inning. That would be as close as Milwaukee would get, however, as they ultimately lost the game. The shortstop is picking up where he left off last postseason as he's got an impressive .317/.333/.610 batting line with four home runs and six RBI in 41 career playoff at-bats.
Orlando Arcia went 4-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Cardinals.
Arcia logged his second four-hit game of the season in Saturday's win. He has now recorded a hit four of his last five contests. Arcia is slashing .259/.314/.412 with five home runs, 20 RBI, 21 runs and two stolen bases over 185 plate appearances in 2020.
