Oswald Peraza has been called up to the Yankees from Triple-A.
One of the Yankees' top prospects will get a shot in the big leagues with rosters expanding. Peraza has been solid in Triple-A this season, slashing .258/.329/.440. He's had an especially good last few months with a .862 OPS since June 1st. It's unclear how often the Yankees plan to use Peraza, but if they find a way to consistently get him in the lineup he can be a nice boost for fantasy managers down the stretch.
The Yankees promoted INF prospect Oswald Peraza to Double-A Somerset.
The 20-year-old has been off to a hot start this spring and was recently anointed a top-100 prospect by Baseball America. In 28 games this year at High-A he hit .306 with 16 stolen bases and five homers.
