Ricky Tiedemann (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Sunday and is expected to throw another bullpen session in a few days.
Tiedemann is dealing with left shoulder soreness, but is expected to have a clear timeline after another bullpen session this week. The 20-year-old is exited to start the season in the Minor Leagues, but is an excellent stash in dynasty leagues.
The Toronto Blue Jays have invited top prospect Ricky Tiedemann to MLB spring training.
Tiedemann, the team's No. 1 prospect and MLB Pipeline's 32nd-ranked prospect, reached the Double-A level last season to great success. The 20-year-old left-hander worked to a 2.45 ERA and 34.1% K% in four starts and 11 innings at just 19 years of age. Only the Giants' Kyle Harrison is ranked higher on MLB Pipeline's Top 100 prospects list among left-handed pitchers. Tiedemann should begin the 2023 season in Double-A but is on the fast track toward his big-league debut.
