A doubleheader last week temporarily pushed Milwaukee's rotation to six men, and when the Brewers needed a spot starter Wednesday against Boston, they turned to Shane Drohan rather than recalling Gasser. Gasser hasn't appeared for Triple-A Nashville since March 27 due to muscle soreness in his left biceps and triceps.
Fantasy Impact
He has not been placed on Nashville's injured list and is making progress in his recovery, with a bullpen session scheduled for sometime this week.
The Brewers optioned LHP Robert Gasser to Triple-A Nashville.
Fantasy Impact
Gasser posted a 5.11 ERA over 12 1/3 innings across four appearances in spring training action. He'll open the season in Triple-A.
Robert Gasser allowed two earned runs on one hit and two walks while striking out two over three innings in Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals.
Fantasy Impact
Gasser was recalled from Triple-A to start in place of Brandon Woodruff, who was placed on the injured list with a lat strain. Following his performance yesterday, Gasser now holds a 6.00 ERA and 1.00 WHIP with a 0-1 record across his one start this season. It is unclear if he'll make another start.
The Milwaukee Brewers activated Robert Gasser from the 60-day injured list and optioned him to Triple-A Nashville on Saturday.
Fantasy Impact
Gasser, who has spent the entire 2025 season recovering from Tommy John surgery, looked great during his minor league rehab assignment, posting a 3.28 ERA and 1.26 WHIP across 24.2 innings. However, he will remain in the minors with the Brewers' rotation currently healthy.
Robert Gasser is scheduled to pitch 75-80 pitches in his next rehab outing on Friday.
Fantasy Impact
With a 2.29 ERA and 1.17 WHIP through 19.2 innings, Gasser has looked great on the mound during his minor league rehab assignment. He will continue to increase his pitch count in his upcoming outings and is likely to rejoin the Milwaukee Brewers before the conclusion of the regular season.
