The Brewers have reassigned Robert Stock to their Minor League camp.
Stock is expected to begin to ramp up and start games for the Brewers’ Triple-A affiliate in Nashville. The 33-year-old could see time as a spot starter or if there is an injury in the Brewers’ rotation, but Stock will not hold much fantasy value in 2023.
Robert Stock started game two of the double header and allowed two runs on four hits, two walks, and five strikeouts in four innings.
Stock's made two starts in his career, both this season. He's got a 7.88 ERA in eight innings and a career 4.65 ERA in 71 and 2/3 innings.
Robert Stock went four innings versus New York Wednesday. He would walk six and take the loss.
Stock once upon a time used to be considered the best teenager in America. He throws over 100 mph so he has some potential but hard to recommend him unless he gets a regular role.
Robert Stock allowed a walk-off double to Justin Turner of the Dodgers on Saturday. He gave up one run on one hit and a walk in 1/3 of an inning.
This was Stock's first career loss. He current is one of the Padres best arms in the bullpen. He has a strikeout rate of 10.73 SO/9 to go along with his 2.59 ERA. His average four-seam fastball is 97.6 MPH and could be the future closer of the Padres as early as 2019.
